Bodh places considerable stress on research in its program. The intent
is two fold:
Develop
a pool of knowledge to guide and strategize work education. This
includes both our own programs and projects, and more recently using
the expertise developed by us in other organizations.
Develop
critical faculties in the program staff to undertake their work
better.
Bodh peaks of the concept of the teacher researcher as a
reflective
practitioner.
The areas of research interest of Bodh include elementary and early
childhood education, community participation in education and case studies
of educational programs.
Micro researches grounded in the context of the school, community
and the socio cultural
context in which children and families live.
Undertaking evaluation, monitoring and baselines for educational
projects pertaining to
early childhood and elementary education
As
a basis of refinement of its own ongoing work- its own pedagogy
and program.
Over the years, we have emerged as an agency having the ability to
undertake baselines and evaluations for ECCD and Elementary Education
Programs. We have undertaken work for other agencies as well as
establishing a mechanism for the same in our own program. A
comprehensive MIS system has been maintained for the program.
